HIGH SCHOOL:

Mark attended High School in Owasso, Oklahoma where he posted an Oklahoma 6A and Owasso career record of 41 wins while going 41-3 for the Owasso Rams. In 1998 Mark  was selected as a member of Team USA to participate in the IBF Youth National Championships where he earned a gold medal.

Mark is a two time Oklahoma 6A State Champion, two time Oklahoma 6A all state honoree, and also the 1999 and 2000 Tulsa Metro Pitcher of the Year.

COLLEGE:
 
After his 4 year career at Owasso he went on to become a 4 year starter for the Sooners and finished as the all time career leader in strikeouts and the all time career leader in innings pitched.

 PRO CAREER:

Mark was then selected in the 8th round of the 2004 MLB amateur draft by the Texas Rangers.  He went on to play 5 years of pro ball.

COACHING/PERSONAL: 

Since his retirement he has been coaching youth and high school select travel teams while giving private pitching instruction.


 

HIGH SCHOOL:

Rick graduated from Bishop Kelley HS in 1982 where he earned Honors as a defensive back for the 1981 3A state championship Comets. 

COLLEGE:

Played baseball at Wichita State University 1983-85. 

PRO CAREER:

Rick was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 5th round of the 
1985 June draft. He received his first Major League call up in September of 1988. Rick played in the Major Leagues with  the Cubs most of the 1989 season and started two games in the 1989 National League Division Series against the San Francisco Giants. He retired after the 1998 season and played a total of 14 years professionally. 

COACHING/PERSONAL:

He continues to coach youth sports and do private baseball lessons.
 His favorite hobbies include bow hunting whitetail deer, duck hunting, and golf. He is married to wife Susie and has 2 sons. 


HIGH SCHOOL:

 Bill grew up in Tulsa attending Bishop Kelley High School. At Bishop Kelley he was District Offensive Player of the year as he led the football team as an All State quarterback.  He was All City and All Metro in Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. 

COLLEGE: 

Bill Wrona attended TU and played for at that time Gene Shell (ranked 4th in total wins in baseball). He received the 110 Percent Award his freshman season. Unfortunately after Title IX and lack of baseball revenue TU dropped its baseball program in 1980.  Fortunately, Ron Frazier (Wizard of Baseball) traveled from the University of Miami to Tulsa to see Bill play. He stated “After two innings I knew I had to have him”.

PRO CAREER: 

In 1983 Bill was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 10th round. He played 8 years for the Mariners, Padres and Cub’s organizations. 

COACHING/PERSONAL:

 
Bill has coached youth and high school aged players since 2001.  One of his greatest joys was coaching with his brother Rick.  They coached their son’s team (Tulsa Hurricanes) that went 54-6 and made it to the Elite World Series in Disneyland.


Bill is married to Denise. They have a daughter Lexie and a son Charlie.

 

HIGH SCHOOL:

Jake was born in Pryor, OK and started his career at Salina HS in Salina, OK. Jake was selected as a member of American Legion State Championship Team in 1991 and graduated in 1992 when he was selected as an All State Catcher.  He was also a part of the 1992 HS state Championship team. 

COLLEGE:

After High School, Jake continued his career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (NEO). As a Freshman, he was a member of the NJCAA world series team in 1993 where he was also selected for the NJCAA World Series All Tournament Team.  His Sophomore year, he was selected on the All Region Team and Won the NJCAA National Rawlings Big Stick Award. 

PRO CAREER: 

After 2 years with the Phillies, Jake played a year of Independent ball where he found his way on the All Star Team in 1996. After a great year, he was signed as a Free Agent by the Cleveland Indians in 1997. Jake Continued to play professional baseball until 2000 and collected a total of 7 years professionally. 

COACHING/PERSONAL:

Jake has been giving private instruction and coaching amateur baseball since 1996 and is  the CO- Founder of Sandlot baseball when it was established in 2005. Since then, he has worked with players of all levels, even guiding some players to the big leagues.

Jake is married to Kristi  and has 3 kids.


HIGH SCHOOL:

 Ryan was a 4-year starter at Palestine High School (Texas 4-A) where he garnered numerous achievements. He carried a career batting avg. of  .361 while striking out 342 batters during his 4 year span. He was voted District MVP twice, was a main stay on All District, All Area, and All East Texas team ballots while also earning All East Texas Pitcher of the Year once. After being selected to play for Team Texas in the Junior & Senior Sunbelt games and impressive summers playing for D-BAT and the Ohio Thunder Ryan was tabbed the #21 ranked prospect in Texas in the 2003 class.

COLLEGE: 

Ryan continued his career at the University of Oklahoma from 2004-2008 where he was a two-way starter and 4 year letter winner while seeing time pitching, playing outfield, and as a DH when needed for the Sooners.  During his time at OU, Ryan was a team captain, nominated for the Brooks Wallace Award (Best D1 Player),  was drafted/offered contracts by the Cleveland Indians & Arizona Diamondbacks, and is still in the record books  for being a part of OU's only combined no-hitter in school history.

COACHING/PERSONAL: 

Due to  injuries through college Ryan decided to forego playing professional baseball and instead focus on his corporate career while enjoying coaching in the Summers. He has coached over 8 years with Sandlot and through the results of talented players and their efforts over that span he has eclipsed 100+ wins and attained a winning percentage of .709 as a coach with Sandlot.

He is married to Hillary and they have two sons, Luke and Ty. 



HIGH SCHOOL:

Brett Bagley was a three-year starter at Broken Arrow High School where he was twice named as the team "Pitcher of the Year" and two time All-Conference player.

COLLEGE:

He made 7 relief appearances as a freshman at OU. His sophomore year was spent at Seminole State College, where the Trojans won their conference and the 2002 Region II Championship. Brett was named to the conference All-Tournament team. He was also named as one of ten "Newcomers to Watch" in the Big 12 Conference by the Dallas Morning News while attending Kansas State.

COACHING/PERSONAL:

He has been a coach for Sandlot since 2009.

 

HIGH SCHOOL:

Gunner was a Four-year letter winner for coach Bill Springman at Tulsa Union High School and was considered the number 2 high school prospect in Oklahoma in 2005. He was the MVP in the CABA World Series in 2002 and again in the AABC Mickey Mantle World Series in 2003. Gunner played in the Area Code Games in Long Beach, CA and was invited to play in the Tournament of Stars in Joplin, Mo for team AABC. 

COLLEGE: 

After High School, Gunner played for Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn at San Diego State University. After undergoing Tommy John surgery, he attended Eastern Oklahoma. In 2 years at EOSC, he owns school records for career homers (30), season hits (89) and career hits (163). Gunner was also named a first-team All Region and All-Conference player.

He transferred to the University of Kentucky before the 2009 season where he played both infield and outfield positions while emerging as a clean-up hitter for the Wildcats. In 2010 he was one of the top hitters in the SEC conference batting .336 with 12 homers and 45 RBI's. 

PRO CAREER: 

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, he was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Minnesota Twins and played in the minors for 3 years from 2010 to 2012. 

COACHING/PERSONAL: 

As a coach, Gunner has had many top ranked teams in the country, trains and mentors hundreds of kids every year, and takes pride in building relationships though baseball.

Gunner is married to Taylor and they have two sons, Sawyer and Jaxon

- Alaska Baseball League single season Home Run Record (10) since the league transferred to wood bats in 1993
- Recipient of the Jack O'Toole Inspiration award who exhibits a good knowledge of the game, is fun-loving, goes the extra mile on and off the field, and is a passionate leader

HIGH SCHOOL:

Albis Ramos was born in Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic and moved to New York City, Brooklyn, NY in 1984 while he was 8 years old. Albis graduated from Beach Channel High School in Queens, New York where he was a four year varsity starter. He was a 1993 New York City All City Baseball Selection.

COLLEGE:

Albis played baseball at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma and after graduating he continued playing baseball at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He played in the Dominican Summer League in the Atlanta Braves Organization. After his minor league career he decided to begin his career in coaching at the high school level, and has been coaching summer and fall high school select travel teams showcase baseball since 2006.

COACHING/PERSONAL:

Albis has been an Assistant Baseball Coach at Vian High School in Vian, Oklahoma 2001-present where his teams have being to the State Tournament on 9 occasions (Semifinals 2003-2005, Quarterfinals 2007, and Runners-Up in 2013, 2014 Semifinals, 2015 Quarterfinals, 2017 Semifinals, and 2018 Quarterfinals). He has also coached selected players in the summers and fall since 2008 with All American organization and with Sandlot organization since 2014. With his assistance many of his high school and travel ball players have signed and continued to play college and/or professional baseball.

Albis is married to Tina (Taylor) Ramos and they have 3 children. His wife Tina was a Junior College All American and played basketball at the University of Oklahoma. Their daughter LeiLoni signed to play basketball at Evansville University (2011). Their oldest son Javier will be playing baseball at the University of Oklahoma in the upcoming season (2020). Their youngest son Diego is a sophomore at Vian High School and is a 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball and will graduate in (2023).
